Job summary

S.E. Smith & Sons is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in a fast-paced shop environment. You will work on light, medium, and heavy-duty diesel vehicles with a focus on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment across trailers, forklifts, and trucks.

The ideal candidate has diesel repair and diagnostics experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and good communication with the team. ASE certification and Class A license are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair light, medium, and heavy-duty diesel vehicles.

• Remove and replace parts as needed.
• Handle trailer repairs, fabrication, and welding (if qualified).
• Adjust brakes and complete related repairs.
• Take on additional duties as assigned - no two days are the same.
