Job summary

Amazing Grace Transportation LLC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with knowledge in managing an auto shop to join our busy repair shop. As an Auto Mechanic, you will diagnose and repair issues affecting vehicle performance and function, focusing on diesel systems.

You will maintain shop equipment, prepare cost estimates, and communicate clearly with customers, explaining issues and recommended repairs. The ideal candidate has diesel technology training and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred.
  • Diesel technology training required.
  • ASE certification or SAE certification is preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel vehicles coming into the shop
  • Carry out routine diesel vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
  • Repair or replace faulty components of engines
  • Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
  • Create repair estimates and timelines and convey information to customers in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with diesel engine systems.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanicwith knowledge in managing an auto shop to join our busy repair shop. As an Auto Mechanic, you will assist our customers by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles’ performance and function.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all diesel vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment, preparing cost estimates, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with customers, able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely and provide valuable advice.
