Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Road Mechanic to service a wide range of equipment in challenging locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on diesel and heavy construction equipment, and contribute to uptime and reliability.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3-5 years of mechanic experience, a valid driver's license, and possibly a CDL depending on location. You will operate in a safety-focused team with strong on-the-job training and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; CDL license may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime.
• Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management.
