Job description

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B to assist with repairs and maintenance of trailer/tractor equipment at our Martin Brower shop in Manassas, VA.

Shift:

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 4:00pm - 12:30am

Pay:

$23.00-29.00/hr, based on experience and qualifications

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment, identify root causes of basic failures, and perform repairs as needed
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders related to repairs and preventative maintenance
• Inspect brake systems to ensure proper operation and verify equipment has required licensing and registration
• Use hand tools and power tools for routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication
• Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of related experience
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds
• Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles
• Own tools meeting minimum requirements

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Technical school certification
