Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in Pompano Beach, FL, seeks two Diesel Mechanics to service a fleet of tractors, trailers and MHE equipment. You will inspect, diagnose and repair, logging all work in AssetWorks.

Shift is Sunday–Thursday, 12:30pm–9:00pm. Pay ranges from $29.00 to $31.00 per hour depending on experience, with comprehensive benefits and incentives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record per DOT regulations to operate company vehicles.
• Preferred: Technical School Certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and perform preventive maintenance on fleet equipment including standard component inspections.
• Document repairs and maintenance with parts used and work performed in AssetWorks.
• Learn and assist diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA and Reyes Fleet Management safety standards and procedures.

Education

High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years related experience

Own tools

Valid driver’s license and clean MVR per DOT

We are seeking 2 Diesel Mechanics to work on our fleet of tractors, trailers, and MHE equipment.

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00/hr, depending upon experience

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately inspecting, repairing and completing routine preventative maintenance of Fleet Equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs.
• Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.
• Vehicles and Fleet Equipment.
• Learn and assist diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
• This position requires driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 2 plus years of related experience
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
