Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to service a large fleet of tractors, trailers, and MHE equipment. Shift: Mon–Fri 10:30am–7:00pm. Pay: $26–$28/hr, depending on experience. The position offers 4 weeks PTO, yearly raises, ASE/CDL incentives, 401K match, comprehensive benefits, and career advancement opportunities. You will inspect, repair, and document maintenance through AssetWorks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR per DOT regulations to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and perform routine preventive maintenance on fleet equipment and components.
• Document repairs and maintenance in the AssetWorks system.
• Work with vehicles and fleet equipment.
• Assist diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Adhere to DOT/OSHA safety and Reyes standards, use PPE, and maintain safety practices.
• Maintain DOT driver qualification file and undergo required screenings.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic to work on our fleet of tractors, trailers, and MHE equipment.

Shift: Monday - Friday 10:30am-7:00pm

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately inspecting, repairing and completing routine preventative maintenance of Fleet Equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs.


• Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.


• Vehicles and Fleet Equipment.


• Learn and assist diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.


• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.


• This position requires driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 2 plus years of related experience


• Must be at least 18 years old.


• Must possess own tools.


• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles


• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds

Preferred Education and Experience:
