Job summary

Case Farms in Morganton, NC is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service and repair our rolling stock and equipment on site. You will perform basic Per-Trips, complete work orders, and ensure safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate has diesel mechanic experience, can follow DOT regulations, and is willing to work overtime and nights as needed. ASC certification is preferred, and familiarity with Onsite software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Two years garage/diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license (MVR check is required).
• Willing and capable of working overtime as required.
• Ability to follow Department of Transportation, State and Federal laws, and company safety policies and programs.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic Per-Trips on all various rolling stock.
• Performs all necessary paperwork associated with the assigned job, i.e., work orders, charge parts out.
• Drives various equipment safely on the lot or into the garage work area.
• Adjust brakes and clutches to FMCSA standards.
• Performs all Category C tasks.
• Changes/replaces clutches; PMs all equipment; makes or repairs hydraulics or hoses.
• Performs work assignments with minimum direction from the supervisor.
• Performs basic welding functions and can change components related to equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.
