Job summary

Case Farms in Morganton, NC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to service fleet and equipment on site. You will perform rolling stock inspections, adjust brakes, and handle preventive maintenance tasks in a dynamic production environment.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, tool ownership, and ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and long shifts when needed. Prior ASC certification is preferred and familiarity with Onsite software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have valid driver’s license (MVR check is condition of employment).
• Willing and capable of working overtime as required.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
• ASC Certification (preferred).
• Ability to work with Onsite software.
• In-depth knowledge of Fleet Maintenance Operations or transferable skill sets from similar industries.
• Ability to provide own tools.
• 2 years Garage/Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Follow Department of Transportation, State and Federal laws, and company safety policies and programs.
• Must be able to follow workplace safety rules, PPE, reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout Tag out procedures, and process safety management-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic Per-Trips on all various rolling stock.
• Performs all necessary paperwork associated with the assigned job, i.e., (work orders, charge parts out).
• Drives various equipment safely on the lot or into the garage work area.
• Adjust brakes and clutches to FMCSA standards.
• Performs all Category C tasks.
• Changes/replaces clutches; PMs all equipment; makes or repairs hydraulics or hoses.
• Performs work assignments with minimum direction from the supervisor.
• Performs basic welding functions along with being able to change out a variety of components related to equipment
• All other duties as assigned.
