Job summary

Case Farms, Inc. in Canton, OH is seeking a maintenance technician to perform basic Pre-Trip inspections on rolling stock, complete work orders, and safely drive equipment within the yard and garage area.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of garage/diesel mechanic experience, can work overtime, and follows FMCSA standards and company safety policies. Proficiency with Insite software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have valid driver’s license (MVR check is condition of employment).
• Willing and capable of working overtime as required.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
• ASC Certification preferred.
• Ability to work with Insite software.
• 2 years Garage/Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Follow Department of Transportation, State and Federal laws, and company safety policies and programs.
• Must be able to follow workplace safety rules, including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout Tag out procedures, and process safety management-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic Pre-Trips on all various rolling stock.
• Performs all necessary paperwork associated with the assigned job, i.e., (work orders, charge parts out).
• Drives various equipment safely on the lot or into the garage work area.
• Adjust brakes and clutches to FMCSA standards.
• Performs all Category C tasks.
• Changes/replaces clutches; PMs all equipment; makes or repairs hydraulics or hoses.
• Performs work assignments with minimum direction from the supervisor.
• Performs basic welding functions along with being able to change out a variety of components related to equipment
• All other duties as assigned.
