Job summary

Transdev in the Bronx, NY is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a fleet of vehicles and equipment. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and longevity of assets.

The position offers competitive pay ($35.00–$48.00/hour), paid vacation, health/dental/vision, 401(k), and ongoing training including Cummins OEM and Ford OEM modules. A valid driver’s license is required and ASE certification is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• ASE certifications preferred; willingness to participate in company ASE certification program.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMs).
• Repair defects found during PMs.
• Diagnose and repair brakes, suspensions, engines, transmissions.
• Complete repairs identified during daily pre-trip inspections (DVI).
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
