Job summary

Campanella Trucking, LLC in Irmo, SC is seeking an experienced Mechanic to service, maintain and repair our dump trucks and tractors. This role offers day or evening shifts with a 30-minute to 1-hour unpaid lunch break, and the shop opens/closes under your supervision.

You will diagnose electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, change oil, check batteries, grease equipment, and ensure DOT compliance. Overtime on Saturdays possible; pay based on experience; benefits after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Experience on dump trucks and/or tractors.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Strong work ethic and drive.

Responsibilities

• Mounting and dismounting tires.
• Diagnosing and repairing lighting and electrical issues.
• Routine Preventive Maintenance.
• Change Oil.
• Check Batteries.
• Grease equipment/machinery.
• Conducting Monthly and Annual Inspections.
• Brake systems.
• Utilize Diagnostic Software.
• Work on and maintain equipment safely and efficiently.
• Close down shop each night or open shop in mornings, including securing tools, equipment, and locking/unlocking the facility.
