Interstate Waste Services in New Jersey is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on heavy trucks and equipment. You will perform PMI inspections, troubleshoot, and rebuild major components while ensuring safety and compliance with procedures.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years as a Class A or B mechanic, experience with fleet maintenance software, and background in waste management or heavy equipment.

Qualificações

• 3-5+ years’ experience as class A or B mechanic.
• Computer diagnostic experience is required.
• Prior experience from waste management industry or heavy equipment/yellow iron dealership experience is a plus.
• Trade school or similar training is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment, including diesel heavy trucks and engines.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspection (PMI); troubleshoots, repairs, and rebuilds major components on vehicles and equipment.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.
