Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - CES) in Houston, TX. This role focuses on safe maintenance and complex repairs of customer-owned equipment, with opportunities to advance within the Service Department.

You will work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems, document work orders, and travel to customer sites when required. Strong mechanical aptitude and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Own tools applicable to position.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of engines and equipment.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and complex repairs on customer-owned equipment.
• Document work orders clearly and promptly.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide range of equipment to customers.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance as needed; keep vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
