Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic - Service Tech III - Field Service - CES to maintain and repair complex equipment on customer-owned machines with limited supervision. Travel to customer sites and document work orders, with a focus on safety and high-quality service.

You will own and use your own tools, upsell equipment, and deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to company policies. Requires 3–5 years of experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders).
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment; maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties as needed.
