Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - Field Service - CES) to service and repair complex equipment on customer-owned assets with minimal supervision. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will maintain detailed work orders, demonstrate equipment capabilities, and travel to customer sites for on-site maintenance and repair.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Own tools required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of equipment to customers.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer-owned equipment; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Perform other duties as needed.
