Job summary

Suncore Construction & Materials is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet across the Mountain West. You will diagnose, rebuild, and repair engines, transmissions, and electrical systems, and perform field repairs as needed.

The role requires 1 year of field mechanic experience and 2–4 years of diesel experience, with a clean driving record and ability to lift 50 pounds. DOT medical card is required or obtainable; a tool allowance and cell phone stipend are provided.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment; perform major engine and transmission repairs and replacements as well as electrical diagnosis
• Perform major electrical repairs (including electronic controls), minor welding repairs, engine and transmission repairs and replacements, as well as equipment and plant maintenance repairs
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment
• Complete road calls and perform field repairs
• Maintain tools as required to perform job (tool allowance and cell phone stipend) and ensure a safe and healthful work environment
