Job summary

Suncore is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Grand Junction, CO. You’ll work on maintaining and rebuilding diesel engines, performing electrical diagnostics, and conducting field repairs to keep our fleet in top condition.

The role requires 1 year of field mechanic work and 2–4 years in diesel mechanics, with DOT medical card eligibility and a clean driving record. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience as a field mechanic.
• 2–4 years of diesel mechanic experience.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Clean driving record and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment; perform major engine and transmission repairs and replacements as well as electrical diagnosis.
• Perform major electrical repairs including electronic controls and routine maintenance and minor welding as needed.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Complete road calls and perform field repairs as required.
• Maintain tools and equipment; tool allowance and cell phone stipend provided.
