Job summary

Suncore Construction & Materials is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to support our fleet across the Mountain West. You will handle routine maintenance, engine rebuilds, and repairs in the field to keep equipment in top condition.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a field mechanic and 2-4 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Must be able to obtain DOT medical card.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to move at least 50 pounds.

• Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment; perform major engine and transmission repairs and replacements as well as electrical diagnosis.
• Perform major electrical repairs (including electronic controls), minor welding repairs, engine and transmission repairs and replacements, as well as equipment and plant maintenance repairs.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Complete road calls and perform field repairs.
• Maintain tools as required to perform job (tool allowance and cell phone stipend).
• Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
