Job summary

Suncore is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic for our West Valley shop to keep heavy equipment operating at peak performance. We value craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement, offering a path to a long-term career with competitive pay and strong benefits.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems on excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks, and maintain a safe, efficient fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably working on heavy construction equipment.
• Diesel mechanic certification or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• A dependable team player who takes pride in quality workmanship and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks.
• Inspect equipment to identify worn or damaged components and recommend necessary repairs.
• Troubleshoot engine fault codes using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Help maintain a safe, efficient fleet that keeps our operations running smoothly.
