Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, seeks a Diesel Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV) to maintain and repair complex equipment with limited supervision.

You'll travel to customer sites as needed, train lower level technicians, and keep accurate work orders while delivering exceptional service. A high school diploma, 5+ years' experience, tools, and a valid driver's license are required. Safety-sensitive position with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
• Assist in training of lower level technicians
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed
