Job summary

Vinny's Towing & Recovery LLC in Frederick, MD is looking for a skilled diesel mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, and DEF systems on commercial trucks. You will perform preventive maintenance, welding, and field repairs as needed, while ensuring safety and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years diesel mechanic experience; towing or heavy-duty truck repair experience preferred.
• DCJS certification eligibility; CDL preferred or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance services such as oil changes, brake inspections, wheel balancing, and alignments.
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while meeting company productivity standards.
• Respond to roadside and emergency service calls to diagnose and repair equipment in the field when possible.
• Maintain repair documentation with minimal errors.
