Job summary

Transdev North America in Lansing, Michigan is seeking an experienced B-Level Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and fleet equipment. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficiency, with opportunities to mentor junior technicians and lead diagnostic efforts.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience as an automotive service technician.
ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical per applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel engine issues.
Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components.
Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.
Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks, including overhaul and rebuilding components.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
Other duties as required.
