The position offers a Monday–Thursday shift (1:00 pm–1:00 am) and opportunities to mentor junior technicians, perform field work, and ensure DOT compliance while maintaining thorough service records.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience in fleet, transportation, recycling, construction, or industrial environments.
• Strong diesel diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with OEM diagnostic software and computerized systems.
• Experience with air brakes and hydraulic systems preferred.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension systems, and electrical systems
• Perform advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment
• Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and air brake systems
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure fleet compliance standards are met
• Complete preventative maintenance and major component replacements
• Troubleshoot emissions systems including DEF and DPF systems
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
• Mentor and train entry-level technicians and apprentice
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and field service repairs
• Maintain accurate service documentation and parts usage records
• Ensure repairs are completed according to OEM and safety standards
• Communicate repair timelines and equipment status to supervisors and operations teams
