Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a permanent, full-time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet in Bryan, Texas. The role offers hourly pay and various bonuses, with schedule Monday–Friday and first shift hours 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification, Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine maintenance like oil changes, brake and tire work.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root cause and performs repairs as required.
• Performs facility maintenance duties.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
