Ryder System, Inc. is hiring an experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Dallas, Texas. The role offers weekly pay, a comprehensive benefits package, and a clear career path in maintenance and repair of heavy-duty vehicles.

Salary starts at $25.00 per hour with a certification bonus and quarterly incentive; schedule is Monday–Friday with first shift hours 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Excellent benefits and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Two years or more of classroom training and work experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
• Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test and background check.
• Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue.
