Job summary

United Rentals is hiring a Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions to perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment with minimal supervision. You’ll work safely and professionally, advancing toward leadership roles within the Service Department while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include servicing diesel systems, electricals, hydraulics, and complex machinery, traveling to job sites as needed, training junior techs, and keeping accurate work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various engines are essential.
• Strong understanding of schematics/diagrams.
• Must own tools applicable to the position.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on equipment and tools.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance when required.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain accurate work orders and documentation daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of equipment to customers.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
