Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions to perform maintenance and repair on customer-owned equipment with minimal supervision. The role emphasizes safety, quality service, and potential for leadership within the Service Department.

You will troubleshoot complex diesel systems, document work orders, and support onboarding of lower-level technicians. A valid license and own tools are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various engines are essential.
• Superior customer service and teamwork skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on equipment.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance when required.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain accurate work orders and documentation of tasks.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of equipment to customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
