Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic for Customer Equipment Solutions to maintain and repair complex diesel systems on customer-owned equipment with minimal supervision. You will operate in a safe, professional environment and provide exceptional service on-site at customer locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders).
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment; maintain service vehicle in a clean, professional manner.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
