Republic Services in Troy, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to service diesel and non-diesel trucks. You will work under supervision on chassis, hydraulic and electrical systems, HVAC, brakes, and drive trains to keep vehicles on the road.

The role offers ongoing training and a path for professional growth within a single fleet. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a technician role or is graduating from an automotive program within the next few months, with a valid license; ASE

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3-5 years of experience in a technician role or recent graduation from automotive school.
• Valid Driver’s License; ASE certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of vehicle components and performs preventative and repair maintenance.
• Repairs chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulics, braking systems, engines, and HVAC components.
• Performs line welding, fabrication and safe on-site road service as needed.
• Identifies malfunctions with electronic tools and completes assigned training.

The Maintenance Technician B may also perform basic tire work, such as replacement, tire rotation, and tread depth checks.
