Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled fleet technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and timely repairs under minimal supervision, with potential road call duties.

This role requires 5–7 years of proven repair experience, including PMs, brakes, electrical troubleshooting, and a minimum of 2 years in A/C refrigeration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs, tire & wheel work, brakes, diagnostics and refrigeration.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet diesel equipment and refrigeration units.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and related parts for safe operation.
• Ensure licensing and registration are current before roadworthy status.
• Document repairs and PMs in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace and repair onboard computers; use hand and power tools.
• Train other employees and perform other related duties as assigned.
