Job summary

U.S. Silica in Sparks, NV is seeking an experienced advanced mechanic responsible for mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and project leadership. The role covers routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, trailers and other equipment on site.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, perform source parts, keep service records, and ensure vehicles are safe and compliant with DOT inspections. A CDL and a High School diploma or GED are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have CDL license.
• Diesel mechanic experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems preferred.
• Ability to work rotating schedule and long hours outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, trailers and other equipment.
• Repair equipment including basic electrical, mechanical and minor tune-ups.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain records and complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
