Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience maintaining or repairing diesel and hydraulic systems.
• Associate's degree or trade school in Construction, Fleet or similar field and 1 year of experience maintaining or repairing diesel and hydraulic systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Fleet, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using testing instruments.
• Removes defective parts and uses hand and power tools to repair equipment.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories and orders replacements as needed.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports and maintains safety and cleanliness.
