Job summary

Transdev in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Diesel Mechanic I to bolster our field service team. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across a variety of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and reliability.

You will assist senior mechanics with diagnostics, perform routine maintenance, and lead tests to determine repair strategies. Applicants should have at least 1 year of diesel experience and ASE certifications.

Qualifications

  • High level of problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to address service concerns proactively.
  • 1 or more years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
  • ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
  • Mechanic’s Tool Set.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Transdev in Dallas, Texas is seeking an experienced C-Level Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel-powered assets.

Compensation
  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $30.00 – maximum $32.00 per hour
Benefits

Physical Requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
