Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled diesel technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose system faults, and ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations.

Road call services may be required, and thorough documentation of all repairs is expected. The role emphasizes safe operations, training others, and maintaining accurate work orders.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience with PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnostics.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, reefer units).
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and other critical components; replace parts as needed.
• Ensure roadworthiness with proper licensing and registrations.
• Document repairs and PMs in the online work order system.
• Install, replace and repair onboard computers.
