Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic A to perform repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our West Dundee, IL facility. The shift is Full-Time Midday, Monday–Friday 12:00 PM–8:30 PM, with pay of $31–$36 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing fleet equipment, documenting work orders, and ensuring compliance with DOT/OSHA policies. Valid CDL A is highly desired; some locations require it. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR per DOT regulations to operate company vehicles.
• CDL A highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally over 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems using diagnostic technology/software.
• Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, Reyes Fleet Management standards and safety programs.
• May require driving Reyes Family of Businesses and customer vehicles; DOT qualification file must be maintained.
• Some travel may be required.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.
