Transdev in Scarborough, Maine is seeking a Diesel Mechanic A to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of vehicles and equipment. You will help ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity for our fleet and service delivery.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of diesel repair experience and a proper tool set; ASE certification is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role with benefits and a competitive wage of $27–$33 per hour.

Responsabilidades

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, and other repairs.
• Maintain records of all maintenance work, including parts and supplies used.
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.

Transdev in Scarborough, Maine is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic A to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure vehicles are safe for our customers.
• Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including the repair of brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, and other repairs accurately.
• Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain records of all maintenance work completed, including parts and supplies used.
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable professional diesel repair employment experience or a combination of education & experience.
• Must have appropriate mechanic's tool set.
• ASE certifications are preferred. Must participate in company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided!)
• Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.

Physical Requirements

• The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-10% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
