Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our Ft Worth, TX shop on Monday–Friday, third shift 6pm to 4am. You’ll inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment, while adhering to safety standards.

The role includes a starting pay of $29–$35 per hour DOE, plus a $3 shift differential, tool and boot allowances, a $7500 sign-on bonus, and comprehensive health coverage from day one, plus 401(k) matching and

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without accommodations.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts.
• Work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area following OSHA standards.
