Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic at our Arlington, OR site. The role offers a starting pay of $32.00 per hour with stable hours Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, boots, and 401(k) matching.

You’ll work on diesel equipment and, at some locations, CNG trucks, using modern tools to diagnose and repair components while ensuring safety and quality. This position requires 2 years of experience and a valid license.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Must be over 18 and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements and pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on trucks and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and service on diesel engines and related systems.
• Estimate time and parts costs for repairs within established procedures.
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns; document work and parts used.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
