Job summary

Performance Foodservice is hiring a skilled diesel mechanic in Texas to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related fleet equipment. The role covers preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and on-call road service, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will document all repairs in the Enterprise Asset Management system and may train peers as needed. Requires 5–7 years of proven experience and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience with PMs, tires, brakes, electrical diagnosis, and A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet diesel equipment.
• Complete accurate work orders and document parts used.
• Provide road call service as needed.
• Train other employees.
