Job summary

JP Mascaro & Sons' Souderton Division in Souderton, PA is seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics to support growing operations and maintain trucks and construction equipment per manufacturer specs and safety practices.

The role requires diesel tech background, ability to read manuals, operate garage tools and lifts, and a valid driver’s license. We offer competitive pay, health and life insurance, 401K with company match, annual bonus, and a family-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Diesel engine technical degree or relevant training.
• Ability to operate garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment safely.
• Identify and obtain replacement parts as needed for repairs.
• Read and interpret technical manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills.
• Strong work ethic; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized and motivated to succeed with multitasking.

Responsibilities

Our Souderton Division, located in Souderton, PA, is currently searching for Diesel Mechanics due to growth!

What You Will Do:

• Perform diagnostic, repair and maintenance on trucks, construction equipment, including auxiliary components in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications
• Knowledgeable in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment
• Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs
• Adhere to manufacturer’s warranty policies and procedures
• Capability to independently analyze and safely resolve problems
• Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units
• Special projects and other job duties as assigned

Qualifications: You Have/You Are:

• Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training or relative and transferable experience
• Knowledge in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment
• Ability to Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs
• Ability to read, understand and interpret technical data via instruction manuals
• Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and software
• A valid driver’s license
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

You Might Have:

• A Commercial Driving License (A or B)
• PA State Inspection License (highly desired)
• ASEs
