Job summary

JP Mascaro & Sons is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for Dunmore, PA. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks and construction equipment per manufacturer specifications.

The candidate should have a diesel engine technical background, read technical manuals, and safely operate garage tools, lifting equipment, and related devices. PA-based facility with full-time, 2nd shift hours and a strong benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training or relative and transferable experience.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret technical data via instruction manuals.
• Knowledge in the safe operation of garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment.

We started with a business plan 1964 that remains unchanged today: serve your customers well, treat your employees as family, and work hard.**Come Join Our Family!**Our Morris County Division, located in Dunmore, PA, is currently searching for Diesel Mechanics due to growth!**What You Will Do:*** Perform diagnostic, repair and maintenance on trucks, construction equipment, including auxiliary components in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications* Knowledgeable in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment* Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs* Adhere to manufacturer’s warranty policies and procedures* Capability to independently analyze and safely resolve problems* Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units* Special projects and other job duties as assigned## Qualifications**You Have/You Are:*** Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training or relative and transferable experience* Knowledge in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment* Ability to Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs* Ability to read, understand and interpret technical data via instruction manuals* Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and software* A valid driver’s license* Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment* Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks**You Might Have:*** A Commercial Driving License (A or B)* PA State Inspection License (highly desired)* ASEs* Your own tools**We Offer:*** Competitive Salary* Health Insurance* Life Insurance* 401K with Company match* Eligible for Annual Bonus* A fun, family environment* and much more!!For over 40 years, our motto has been \"If it's service, it's us\".
