Job summary

Silvi Materials in Morrisville, PA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for 2nd shift (4:00 pm start) or 3rd shift (10:00 pm start) with shift differential. You will service a fleet of mixers, heavy equipment, and Class A trailers, performing preventative maintenance and complex repairs on diesel systems.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years’ fleet repair experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read maintenance manuals and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Fleet/transportation repair and maintenance experience of at least 3 years.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle repair and safety regulations (OSHA/DOT).
• CDL (A class) license preferred and PA Inspection license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and professional working environment.
• Diagnose and perform preventative maintenance for heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Repair and replace engines, transmissions, axles and related sub-assemblies.
• Perform electrical work including wiring systems and starter rebuilding.
• Repair electrical sensors and computerized systems per standards.
• Diagnose fuel management and ignition systems and perform needed repairs.
• Weld broken assemblies and related parts as required.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and maintain organized work area.
• Prepare time, materials, parts usage, and completed work records.
• Respond to road service calls with company vehicle when required.
