Job summary

A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced, skilled 1st shift Diesel Mechanic to join our Fleet Maintenance team at our West Chester, PA shop. This role requires technical skill with heavy duty trucks and is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing the company’s fleet.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience repairing/maintaining Class 8 trucks.
• Must have a complete set of hand tools for heavy truck repair.
• Diesel/heavy-duty training preferred; HS diploma or equivalent acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general repairs on Class 8 trucks.
• Troubleshoot and repair brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems.
• Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, and exhaust after-treatment systems.
• Inspect and replace general components as required.

Diesel Mechanic qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience repairing/maintaining Class 8 trucks
• A complete set of hand tools for heavy truck repair
• Vocational or Technical Training in diesel/heavy-duty vehicle experience; HS Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Willingness to learn and grow your abilities
• Ability to work independently with a "can-do" attitude

Diesel Mechanic responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
