Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. inNorth Carolina seeks skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics to service a fleet of heavy-duty diesel trucks, CNG, gas, and electrically operated equipment across Eastern NC.

Full-time positions available in Kinston, Greenville, Williamston, and Wilson. You will diagnose, repair, and rebuild diesel engines, use diagnostic software and standard tools, plan repairs with the M5 planner, mentor teammates, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical diploma a plus.
• At least 1 year of hands-on diesel mechanic experience.
• Computer literacy and willingness to learn diagnostic software.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a loud repair shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild heavy-duty diesel trucks and rolling stock.
• Use diagnostic software and standard tools to troubleshoot and solve issues.
• Plan and schedule repairs using the M5 planner; procure parts and maintain a clean work area.
• Mentor and orient new team members to help the crew grow.
