Job summary

Swift Transportation is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in West Valley City, UT. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment at our facility on a Sunday–Thursday shift from 6:00am to 3:00pm.

Responsibilities include inspections, diagnosing faults, and performing both minor and complex repairs to keep equipment in peak condition. A valid driver license is required and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license required.
• Comprehensive background check required.
• Pre-employment hair follicle drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.)
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance to include: repairs, failure analysis, coding, identification.
