Job summary

A family-owned trucking company in North Salt Lake is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to maintain their fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. In this vital role, you will perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure the safe operation of all vehicles. Candidates with at least 2 years of experience are preferred, but training is available for the right individual. The position offers a competitive salary, benefits, and a supportive, family-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred minimum 2 years experience with heavy duty trucks/trailers.
• Must own tools, preferred but not required.
• Class A CDL preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures on tractors and trailers.
• Complete annual vehicle inspections.
• Perform all preventive maintenance.
• Communicate with Fleet Operations Manager.

Job Overview

We're looking for experienced Diesel Mechanics to maintain our fleet of Trucks, Tractors Trailers, and variety of Heavy Equipment. This is a vital role in our organization. You'll be responsible for performing diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure everything stays running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose/Repair Mechanical Failures on tractor and trailers
• Complete annual vehicle inspections
• Preform all preventive maintenance
• Complete required paperwork/Maintain repair and maintenance logs
• Communicate with Fleet Operations Manager and office staff for other tasks

Qualifications

• Preferred Minimum 2 Years Experience working with Heavy Duty Trucks/Trailers, but will train the right ambitious candidate
• Own Tools preferred - not required
• Class A CDL Preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations and Safety practices
• Self-directed, excellent problem-solving skills
• Punctual & dependable
