Job summary

Ideal Ready Mix Co Inc in West Burlington, IA is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain our heavy equipment and fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and service engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems while keeping accurate service records.

Requirements include 3–5+ years of diesel experience, ability to provide your own tools, and a valid Class A or B CDL. We offer weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, up to $1,000 tool reimbursement, and a retirement plan.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and service heavy equipment and fleet vehicles.

• Complete and maintain accurate service records.
• Train drivers and operators on proper vehicle inspection and maintenance procedures.
• Respond to on-call maintenance needs as required.

Description

Ideal Ready Mix is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to keep our heavy construction equipment and fleet in top shape. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves, troubleshoot problems, and keep things running smoothly, we want to hear from you.

What you'll do:

• Diagnose, repair, and service heavy construction equipment, trucks, and other fleet vehicles.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Work on gasoline and diesel engines, plus mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Complete and maintain accurate service records and reports.
• Train drivers and operators on proper vehicle inspection and maintenance proceduresl.
• Respond to on-call maintenance needs as required.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred (or equivalent post- secondary training).
• Ability to provide your own tools.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to travel, work weekends, and be on call when needed.
• Class A or B CDL
