Job summary

PWS Employment is recruiting experienced Diesel Technicians for a well-established Des Moines transportation company. It offers competitive pay, a Monday–Friday schedule, great benefits, and a modern fleet, with steady year‑round work.

You’ll diagnose and repair diesel vehicles, maintain engines, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and perform DOT inspections in a clean, well‑equipped shop. CDL is a plus or you can obtain one after joining.

Qualifications

• Previous diesel mechanic/technician experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Electrical diagnostic ability.
• Valid driver's license.
• CDL is a plus — or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a fleet of commercial diesel vehicles.
• Diagnostics and repairs; preventive maintenance; DOT inspections; handle brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

You'll maintain and repair a fleet of commercial diesel vehicles, including:

• Diesel engines and related systems
• Brakes and air brake systems
• Suspension and steering
• Electrical diagnostics
• HVAC and air systems
• Preventative maintenance
• DOT inspections
• Troubleshooting and repairs

Experience with buses and motor coaches is especially valuable.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
