Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Diesel Technician in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The role offers a stable career path with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. Expected duties include basic vehicle maintenance, component identification, and preventive maintenance with training.

Qualifying candidates may have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic tools, and at least 1 year in transportation maintenance; CDL Class A is preferred. Shift is 3:00 pm–11:00 pm, Monday–Friday, weekends off.

Position Description

Ryder is hiring an Entry Level Diesel Technician in Waukesha, Wisconsin — providing a stable company for your career with weekly pay and excellent benefits.

• Hourly Pay:$27.19 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
• Schedule: Monday–Friday Weekends OFF
• Hours: Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic tools, required
• One (1) year or more experience in transportation maintenance, preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred

Additional Requirements

• Ability to understand and communicate effectively, work shift work/weekend as required, perform all entry level tasks, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computers
• Some experience in transportation maintenance preferred

• This position requires for you to drive Ryder vehicles. In order to become a Ryder employee you must:
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
