Job summary

Firematic is seeking a skilled Fire Apparatus & Emergency Vehicle Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. You will work on automotive, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks, with a focus on safety and reliability.

This full-time role requires a self-starting attitude and hands-on mechanical skills. CDL B with Air Brakes is required (or obtainable within a year); ASE/EVT certifications are a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fire apparatus.
• CDL B with Air Brakes required or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• ASE and EVT certifications are a strong plus.
• Familiarity with current automotive/truck/emergency vehicle maintenance practices appreciated.
• Self-motivated with a positive, can-do mindset.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Fire Apparatus & Emergency Vehicle Technician, you’ll be the expert behind the equipment first responders rely on every day.You will:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles
• Work on automotive, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks
• Service Fire and EMS vehicles, small gas engines, and supporting equipment
• Apply hands-on mechanical skills that directly impact safety and performance

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We want someone who brings both capability and attitude:

• A self-starter with a positive, can-do mindset
• Knowledge of diesel engines (preferred)
• CDL B with Air Brakes, or ability to obtain within 1 year
• Familiarity with current automotive/truck/emergency vehicle maintenance practices (preferred)
• ASE and/or EVT certifications (a strong plus)

WHAT YOU’LL GET

• Full-time: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• Starting pay: $25–$35/hr depending on experience & certifcations
